What is Rocksmith?. Rocksmith is a music video game series which aims to teach guitar by letting you plug in virtually any guitar or bass and becomes your personal guitar teacher as it monitors how you play.
It dynamically adjusts the difficulty to your skill level, then slowly introduces more notes and phrases until you’re playing your favorite songs note-for-note. Rocksmith Remastered comes with over 50 songs, Guitarcade modes to gamify your learning experience, online leaderboards, a streamlined interface, and much more. Mar 16, 2017 - Windows relied on Steinberg's ASIO drivers to attain low latency. However, Windows 10 greatly improves its native audio. Ubisoft's Rocksmith Real Tone Cable provides compatibility with their Rocksmith software, but also. It turns out I've been living under a rock for the last year but I've just discovered the Ubisoft Rocksmith Real Tone Cable and this thing is Awesome! It's a cable that is simply a 1/4' jack (guitar end), some sort of Analogue to Digital Converter in the middle and a USB connection on the other end.
Troubleshooting. Video Tutorials. Social Media doodads. Streams weekly! Hello reddit, I come to you with the old age problem of my real tone cable not installing on windows 10, I've tried basically everything, I've uninstalled the driver and reinstalled several times, I've disabled XHLC or whatever it is, I've tested all of the usb ports on my desktop, I bought a USB 2.0 Powered hub. I have installed the cable successfully on my windows 7 laptop, unfortunately this laptop is old and not powerful enough to run rocksmith 2014.But nothing seems to work, any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a standard Microsoft mic driver.
Yeti USB mic for comparison. When I installed Windows 10 it detected the Rocksmith cable as 'USB Audio Device' or something. Uninstalling the device and then doing 'Scan for hardware' changes made windows detect and install it. Maybe try uninstalling the device and then specifying the windows system32 drivers folder as a search location for the driver.

Also if you can post a screenshot of the device details in device manager (like the one I posted above) we can see what driver it's using and what exactly is happening.
